Donald Trump is making this point over and over to his supporters and to the Republicans in the House and Senate.
Watching Stephanie Ruhle this morning, one of her guests flat-out predicted that Trump was going to fire Mueller and that Republicans would do nothing about it. Stephanie appeared shocked at his comments.
Another guest agreed. He had said he wasn't going to fire so-and-so and so-and-so and each time, they were soon gone. The first guest said Mueller would probably be gone "sooner, rather than later".
Trump is setting up the situation to discredit everyone involved with the investigation before he makes his move and he will know beforehand that the Republicans support him in his decision.
Did anyone ever have any doubt but that was what he has been doing all along?
