Sweden helping negotiate release of Americans held in North Korea

Sweden is helping negotiate the release of three Americans held captive in North Korea, sources with knowledge of the negotiations tell CNN.

American citizens Kim Hak-song, Kim Sang-duk, and Kim Dong Chul are being held by North Korean government.

Within 48 hours Trump will take credit for this. He will also screw up and say it was the "Norwegians."

There are four “neutral” country representatives in Korea. Neutral nations are ones who didn’t fight the Korean War. They work without fanfare to make sure no one sends more troops and equipment to Korea on a permanent basis. However, even replacements are fine...if we have 20 Jeeps we can replace them with 20 of something else, but sending 21 of them would be considered reinforcement and not allowed.

The United Nations Command chose Sweden and Switzerland as its observers. They are still there.
The North Koreans chose Czechoslovakia and Poland. After both joined NATO the North Koreans kicked them out.
