Then perhaps we can have nice things again, and have a fair shot at bringing compassion and fairness back into legislation.

1. Unless Faux's lying is reigned-in nothing will make any difference

The American cable audience has become that crowded theater in the legal example of when shouting lies about fire becomes criminal.

So long as lying is free, Faux will just undermine anything positive we want to do. So, the cost of promulgating falsehoods and conspiracy theories has to become steep.

Freedom of the press. Fox has spread false information, while underming and overpowering the truthful and free press. We really are in a constitutional crisis...

3. Hear, hear. And, as much as possible, take money out of big media.

It's worth remembering that corporate influence- if no outright control - of big media, was the key to all fascist regimes.
