Attorney: Ex-Playboy model voted for Trump, lawsuit not politically motivated

The lawyer representing Karen McDougal said the former Playboy model voted for President Trump and isn’t motivated by politics in coming forward about an alleged affair with him.

“Let me be clear,” Peter Stris told Politico on Wednesday. “Karen is a Republican. She voted for the president. She holds no ill will. If there was ever a case that was not motivated by naked politics, it’s this one.“

McDougal filed a lawsuit on Tuesday against American Media Inc. (AMI), which owns the National Enquirer.

She’s alleging the publication paid her $150,000 for a story about her alleged affair with Trump and then never published it. Stris said McDougal is trying to “get out from under the thumb” of AMI, adding that the media company has “effectively controlled her life for over a year.”

6. This story makes me feel sort of dense, but if she was paid for the oristory where are the damages?

She is filing against AMI, not Trump apparently. But once AMI pays for the story is it not their right to publish or not publish? Is she wanting out so she can sell it to someone else at a higher price? Stormy appears to have raised the bar here.
