Trump is like the outlaw that is taking on the sheriff at high noon.
Here is what I have a hunch that is happening. The intelligence agencies have gone to the DOJ and stated that Trump is threat to national security. The longer he is in office, the longer the threat. He has figured out that he can really do whatever he wants. Mueller has enough evidence for indictments, but he wants to try to get him in for an interview. If he subpoenas him to the grand jury, Trump will probably come up some absurd reason why he doesn't have to comply and drag it out in court. Trump will do the interview and then state that he has told them everything they need to know and that the investigation needs to come to an end. I think things are going to start happening. It might start tomorrow with Rosenstein's press conference.

(6,916 posts)He's built a team designed to defend him on cable news, not in court.
He's going to boot Mueller and appeal to his base. Then big time indictments will come down if he does that. Watch out.

(5,813 posts)I have had a sneaking suspicion for a couple of weeks that tRumps wreckless behavior and prickly pear attitude are an indication of increasing pressure on him. With the events of the last few days and today in particular, something has to be up. Dowds leaving is telling. Yes,
I know he got a belly full of tRump. Who wouldn't? But if ever a client needs his legal team ready to go to work, now is the time for tRumps team to be fully staffed and ready. Not jumping ship and wishing him good luck. UNLESS, they know the sh*t is about to hit the fan.
So I will read here a bit more, play some sol on the iPad, look at some of my ebooks and try to wear my mind out so it will turn off. But my disgust for tRump is so high right now, I am not sure I can contain myself until the morning. Hope springs eternal and I have been telling my gloomy Gus spouse that something is up and tRump is acting like a guy under extreme duress. He half expects tRump to get away with everything. I hope tomorrow is the beginning of the end for tRumpolini. I have a bottle of Prosecco left from election night 2016 that I have kept for the moment tRump is kicked out, dragged out or shoved out of the Oval Office. Maybe I should start chilling it now!?? 😉

(2,640 posts)For the first year, he had no clue what he was doing, so was content to let Bannon or whoever run the show.
Now he's realized how much power he holds, and is unleashed.
If the American government is worth anything, he'll be removed next week.

(16,831 posts)Trump's legal team is not the kind you want defending you in court. They're the kind you want to go on Fox news to explain what you've done.
