Parkland, Fla., students and families flew to Washington, D.C., on the Patriots' plane

By Steve Annear GLOBE STAFF MARCH 23, 2018

Students and families from Parkland, Fla., were transported to Washington, D.C., ahead of the “March for Our Lives” against gun violence this Saturday with the help of the New England Patriots.

On Thursday, team owner Robert Kraft provided the team’s official plane to fly the families of the 17 victims of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting and some of the students who were injured to the nation’s capital for the event, Patriots spokesman Stacey James said.

James said Kraft decided to lend the plane to those affected by the shooting after former Arizona representative Gabrielle Giffords and her husband, Mark Kelly, reached out to him and asked for the favor. Kelly and his wife founded “Giffords,” a gun violence prevention organization, after Giffords survived being shot in the head in Arizona during a public event in 2011.

need all of our support. They hit a nerve in the American psyche, hopefully they will hit the psyche of the NRA, terrorist organization.

Those young people are getting death threats too, for what for telling the truth. They will prevail, and let us stand with them.

But Robert Kraft is a charitable person. I know people that live in NE, Kraft regularly does big charitable acts there, the biggest single event was him donating $25 million dollars to fund the educations of doctors that agreed to serve in underserved communities for 5 years after becoming licensed doctors. Kraft also regularly has food donation events on all holidays, where kids and their parents enjoy a meal AND get food boxes for followup days.

Look, there are evil people, the Kochs, the Mercers and others. But Kraft is not evil. Yes, he is friends with Trump, but he is also big friends with John Kerry and it appears Gabby Giffords and Mark Kelly. Why is Kraft a Trump friend? Maybe it has something to do with Trump constantly reaching out to him after his wife passed. Kerry appears to have done the same thing, maybe Kraft is loyal to them for that act of compassion (I believe Kerry was sincere, Trump likely wanted to cuddle up to a person that he saw as a winner).

After all, these "kids" will be dissing him and his party and the NRA. Nah, he won't stick; his deferments during Viet Nam show you what a coward he is. And the coward is now trying to play bully, and failing.

Nope, he the "fam" will be off to Mar-A-Lago where he and his 857 bodyguards can hide.
