(4,690 posts)for bringing an international perspective to the issues and events we discuss here. We can learn a lot about ourselves by seeing how others see us.

(5,101 posts)Our way to bring you a little support
Be sure that we distinguish very well Americans from that circus pretending to be an Administration.
We are countless to feel sorry, watching helplessly the nightmare you're undergoing

(15,368 posts)there being a march in Geneva, Switzerland today as well.
I was there - and the students were awesome!

(5,101 posts)Yes, there are many other places where people marched
It made me really happy
I wish I could have marched too, but I'm stuck at home, bedridden

(15,368 posts)messages from several who could not attend. I believe that was done elsewhere as well.
ALL support was appreciated - whether supporters were represented in person or by proxy.
Now we all have to do our jobs in following-up. We must ensure that we are properly registered - or re-registered - to vote in our respective states and we must vote against ALL GOPers in any special elections or the November mid-terms.
This is NO time (nor was it time in 2016) to reflect on "purity" of ideology. I am SO sick of that crap.
It is time to get the GOPer bastards OUT in every possible way.
Thanks for posting these photos!

(11,862 posts)My biggest fear in elementary school was sister superior, in jr high & high it was the vice principle....NEVER GUNS!
We had fire drills, and I never thought any of us would burn up if a fire occurred.
Live shooter drills would assume 'someone' was shot or at least shooting at THE KIDS.
I am an emphatic person, but I cannot imagine what these children feel at school daily?

(51,590 posts)99% is done by men of all colors! What we need to do is stop the macho man attitude of movies, TV and games from the past 100 years and undo the brainwashing. That and a lot of other things need to change. All of them ARE do-able too. No excuses!

If I were traveling outside the US right now, I would wear a T-shirt that said, "I DID NOT VOTE FOR HIM."

(3,335 posts)It's embarrassing when Europe can endure what they went through with WWII, yet not believe that every citizen needs automatic weapons in order to feel safe in their homes, from their government.
Thanks Syringis for reminding us that we're the problem, not the solution. Be patient with us. We get a do-over in 8 months, and hopefully, we will have restrained Putin enough that we can vote these people out.
