General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI just wrote 17 checks for $6.20...
put each check in an envelope and addressed an envelope to each Democrat running for election in each of the political jurisdictions that will appear on my ballot this fall....local, county, state and national. This includes each declared candidate working to qualify for the Democratic primary ballot in my state of Arizona. I even sent checks to the ones I don't support. Our primary election is in August.
Why $6.20? It's the "moment of silence" Emma Gonzales held at the March for Our Lives in Washington today.
If money talks, this is what my $6.20 pittance says to the candidates who are asking for my vote: "Declare in public, and without sleazy political equivocation, that you will work while in the elective office to excise the metastasized cancer that the Second Amendment has become in our society."
I hope that some portion of your political contributions money will join with my retired, fixed income financial voice and make it a chorus that can't be ignored in support of these extraordinary young people.

Not just for the sake of our country, but the planet. (I'm not being hyperbolic either).
