Melania would have been publicly embarrassed and put in a terrible position right before election if Karen and Stormy's stories had broken as intended on mainstream media such as ABC that planned to air their stories in October. I don't think Melania would have done the Anderson Cooper interview if the details of those affairs had been made public at that time. Bad enough that she had to defend him about the Access Hollywood remarks and the groping allegations, but having to discuss his affairs with a porn actress and playmate would have been asking too much of her.

About Trump Organization and Apprentice. How many employees were bought off and signed NDAs because they could not prove a pattern of discrimination in the work place? He offered Stormy a job or implied he would get her one. How many employees had perks offered for sex or were denied advancement because they were male or older female who were not offered raises or perks because some sex partner was pushed ahead of them? His son was having an affair with cast member. Maybe he's afraid they will ALL come after him with pattern and practice of discrimination in the work place(s).
