Spurs coach Gregg Popovich: Trump brings out 'the dark side' of people

San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said that President Trump “brings out the dark side of human beings for his own purpose.”

Popovich, who has criticized Trump before, made the comments ahead of his team’s game against the Washington Wizards in D.C. on Tuesday night, according to USA Today.

He said that Trump “hopes to bore us to death” with new issues every day, adding “we take our eye off the ball, and [Trump’s] great at it.”

“He brings out the dark side of human beings for his own purpose, which is himself. If it's not pointed out, if people don't stand up and point it out, he will become commonplace, and it's not the world that I want to live in,” Popovich said.
