538’s average still has him hovering at around 40, which is actually a bit higher than where he’s been for most of the past year.

PPP went from 44 to 39.
Rasmussen from 50 to 45.
Morning Consult from 47 to 42.
Economist from 45 to 41

Just countering the CNN narrative that Trumps approval rating was skyrocketing.

He started to show some small but disgusting gains. These are the lowest numbers I’ve seen from him since December 2016. Even PPP says he’s hit a low for them.

You’re looking at 538s average. I’m trying to tell you if you just would listen that the individual polls that had been good to mediocre for Trump have all suddenly turned against him!

No, I'm not. Your link includes more than one simple graph.

He was at 50% in Rasmussen. Now 45%. He was at 44% in Ipsos. Now 38%. He was at 44% in PPP. They’ve always had him in the 40s. Now he’s at 39%. He was at 45-46% in Economist. Now 41%. I’m just saying he’s on a noticeable downtick.

Why does it make you unhappy that I point his out? Do you check every Trump poll that comes out every day like I do? If you did, you’d notice how bad this week is compared to last week’s and priors.

Rasmussen 1/16-18 - 45%
Rasmussen 1/21-23 - 44%
Rasmussen 1/24-28 - 43%
Rasmussen 1/29-31 - 45%
Rasmussen 2/1-5 - 49%
Rasmussen 2/6-8 - 49%
Rasmussen 2/11-13 - 47%
Rasmussen 2/19-21 - 48%
Rasmussen 2/22-26 - 50%
Rasmussen 2/27-3/1 - 49%
Rasmussen 3/4-6 - 46%
Rasmussen 3/7-11 - 45%
Rasmussen 3/12-14 - 46%
Rasmussen 3/15-19 - 47%
Rasmussen 3/20-22 - 46%
Rasmussen 3/25-27 - 45%

That is only two and a half months worth of polling from Rasmussen.

"If you did, you’d notice how bad this week is compared to last week’s and priors."

I understand this isn't how statistics work.

"Why does it make you unhappy that I point his out?"

I'm not unhappy. I'm actually very happy. I'm just correcting your blatant error and abuse of statistics.

"Do you check every Trump poll that comes out every day like I do?"

I wouldn't even consider doing such a thing.

As you said, it didn't make sense that his approval had increased unless the poll is skewed toward Repugs. I suspect Faux News can skew his ratings anytime they wish, LOL. Just crank up the bullshit machine, boys!

As In The Statistical Mean. Let's Review This, Shall We:

Approval:
Morning Consult - 42%
You Gov - 49%
Rasmussen Reports - 45%
Ipsos - 38%
Public Policy Polling - 39%

The Mean Is: 42.6% or Rounded 43%

However, if one was to remove the You Gov Poll (as Statistically, It Would Be An Outliner as it is not in 3-4% of the other corresponding polls:

The Mean Is: 41%

In Other Words, Trump Continues To Have The Lowest "Approval" rating of any President in the last 15-20 years counting. Yet, the Media continues to act as anything he does is relevant.

See how the Color Based Privilege Works in Living and Statistical Colors? It's Sickening.

that, he will have 'lost support' in stock terminology. That will interest me.

Again, as many above have said 'no freefall', thus hype.

Every time he says or does something immensely stupid, crazy, or racist, another borderline decent person says they've finally had it with him. But then another borderline deplorable says, "Hey, that's great!" and hops on board the Trump train.

Your post doesn't match the data. In a few polls released this week it is down slightly. In a few it is up slightly. If anything he's down a click or two from last week. But really nearly steady at this point.

paid for by borrowing more money and benefit mostly the wealthiest. I don't see a lot of vocal opposition. As usual GOP/Trump win the propaganda war and drive the media narrative. But when the black guy was president, how dare he increase borrowing? Facebook shares plummeting, but Trump gets away Scot-free. We have to wait for a porn star to do the work of an opposition party.

The recipe for disaster is when one third of the population fervently supports a tyrant, one third is opposed and the last third sit on their thumbs.

Trump's support is now 41%. The only chart on that page that catches his eye is the 30% jump in net approval rating Bush got after 911.
