(6,070 posts)Trolls think that because there's a dialogue and they keep it going, they win. If you find you're in a discussion with someone who keeps using the devices described in the tweet, just pull the plug.
The technique that has worked best for me is to look at the troll with wide eyes and then start laughing.
Then walk away dismissively.
Trolls. Ugh. Just what the U.S. does not need are ignorant fools.

(15,382 posts)These are all logical fallacies that people might make in a discussion/argument. You should work to rid yourself of doing these things as well as be able to point out to others when they do it (you don't have to be a troll to make a logical fallacy).
