Remember that in law, the distinction between certain terms is frequently hair thin.

Remember how earlier in the investigation, right before Comey gave his testimony to the house, there was a big deal made about how he would testify that Trump never ordered him to end the Flynn probe?

And there was much consternation and gnashing of teeth when that came out.

Except Comey then did testify and he said that Trump directed him to end the Flynn probe.

Which for the purposes of obstruction of justice is essentially the same.

It’s easy to want to focus on semantics but when it’s an ongoing investigation, there’s so much left on the table.

Keep that in mind when Trump inevitably Leon Letts it into the end zone on Twitter tonight or tomorrow morning.
