I had a chance to chat with Preet Bharara tonight; I'll be having dinner with Pete Buttegieg in a few weeks, and Dennis Kucinich wants to meet for coffee.

(94,595 posts)...it's too messy, and it conflicts with my professional life.
That said, the story I'm hearing this AM is that Cuomo has brokered a deal to reunite the Senate Dems with the IDC.

(1,822 posts)that Pete Buttegieg is considering running for President. I'm like "whaaa??" I like the guy, but I think he should run for Congress to get rid of Walorski 1st. I cant see a young mayor of a city of 100,000 being President. Now some day in the future, yeah I could see that. But for now I think if he truly is considering that I think he's getting ahead of himself.

(54,405 posts)I was at a thing with Kucinich a couple of years ago, but I never chatted with him. Seeing as how other attendees were all people I either already knew or wanted to (Katrina vanden Heuvel, Cecile Richards, Raúl Grijava, E. J. Dionne, John Nichols, Elizabeth Warren, Rev. William Barber, Eleanor Clift, Jerry Nadler, and a LOT of etc.), I just couldn't get to everyone, and Kucinich was one of the ones I never ended up meeting.
So, I'll look forward to hearing about that meeting, and Pete Buttegieg, too. I don't know him, but saw a brief TV clip with him, and he seemed to be about the most interesting guy to come out of Indiana I had seen in years.
