Then he has the nerve to talk about real conservatives in glowing terms. What was "supply-side economics?" How about the lies about the Clintons (murdering 30 plus people, Whitewater, Rose law firm billing, uranium, email,...). How about birtherism or Swiftboat lying? How about "creation science?" How about Willie Horton? Iran-Contra? The Southern strategy? Climate science denialism?

I merely scratch the surface of right wing lies and smears.

And now Scarborough acts as if #fakepresident is some kind of affront to "conservatism?" #fakepresident is not of Scarborough because #fakepresident lies?

"Conservatives" have been at war against the truth for 60 years. Leo Strauss advocated lying. Jude Wanniski, father of "supply-side economics," proffered the whole idea as a scam.

Look in the mirror, Scar. Your precious anti-intellectual ideology is responsible for #fakepresident. #fakepresident is a symptom of your own pathology, not a cause. You all are at war against the truth.

I hate knocking people on our side, but lived through the 90s, and those assholes in congress were only a small fraction less worse than the current assholes, and Scarborough was one of the biggest douchebags of all.

I have tried repeatedly here and other places to get people to not watch that shitshow ... He is a snake and should be treated as such.

I will not defend Mika and Scar but I don't know what motivates them or whether that matters so much. You may be correct; I honestly don't know.

Much of what they say is true and it is good they're saying it. But I stick with the metaphor of treating the symptom and not the underlying pathology. That's where I have a problem with Mika and Scar. They do not seem to me to be brave enough to own their own role in this as has been said here many times.

I would be willing to forgive but again they attack the symptom: #fakepresident. What's needed is a commitment to truth. I don't see them rising to that level.

The past is prologue. I will not be asking for anyone to make up for anything. Sure it would be nice but it seems to me to be a bridge too far.

Mika and Scar might up their game a little. I mean some of their regular guests, like Eugene Robinson, do expose them to higher levels. And too they are colleagues with Rachel and Lawrence.
