The problem isn't protesting unfair trade practices, that has always been a Democratic issue, it is

the unilateral, bull headed, arrogant way it is being done.

This is not how you negotiate, and the risk of a full blown trade war has severe economic consequences

In some respects this is comparable with the way bush invaded Iraq.
