We are not stupid

You are going to pull the troops from Syria cause Putin told you to. You lie and say there is a 'small ISIS presence' in Syria and that's why you want the troops out. Your top military commanders disagree cause they know this is not true. Putin's puppet. Now if you do move them out and I think you will, ISIS will be back with an even bigger presence and they are plotting right now

And they listed the number 1 pesticide used was glyphosate. It's dumped on millions and millions of acres every year. I never thought it was a pesticide but it seems to kill nematodes too. Hell that shit kills anything including people.

He is the first active traitor to hold the office of the President of the United States and as such he should be made an example of for all to see. Public hanging from the Washington Monument. I will volunteer to push him off if such service is required. It may be hard to move that mountain of flesh and gas, but I will do my level best. (Gonna go hit the gym now....just in case.)

to get all William Wallace on his fat, ignorant and malicious ass, I think time in the klink is probably more appropriate.

We must maintain a dignified approach to our outrage and exact both judgement and retribution responsibly lest it reflect poorly on us.

We dont want to become a revolution that anyone can relate to El Che: initially Ernesto was a populist revolutionary, then he lost it and became the socialist executioner. He lacked forethought. Hence, his death in Valle Grande via philosophical hubris.

... i think that if US and UN forces are removed, Putin will take control of a puppet regime, provide platoons of military advisors, and crush all opposition - including ISIS.

He can’t do that now because if we’re there we will have a stake in the post ISIS government. And because of the risk of US casualties and an international incident. He wants us out of the way. It’s not about ISIS. It’s about oil and territory.

... the backing of the Syrian govt. and could go into full extermination mode. Little or no pushback from the US. Advanced weaponry now. Different terrain more suitable to large army movement. There will always be pockets of terrorist, but I think ISIS would be hard pressed to regain actual territory and a significant presence in Syria if Russian Troops were on the ground in strength.

It’s just my opinion. I think acquiring Syria is part of Putin’s long game. The oil and easy access to the Mediterranean Sea would help make Russia more sanction resistant. I think he’d be willing to spend a lot of resources to secure it. He just needs us out of the theater.

Wed Apr 4, 2018, 07:13 PM

Not every Mideast country has oil. Syria has almost no oil production. Russia is the top oil producer in the world.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_oil_production

Russia wants a presence in Syria because it has a naval base and an air force base. Russia is going to keep those no matter what.

We should be out of Mideast countries. We have done no good there. We messed up Iraq and Syria is no different.

... may not be a big player comparatively, but there is oil there, and it is a big part of the state economy.

But I don't disagree that perhaps the port and strategic location are the goals. Either way, Putin has his sights set on it.

And I don't disagree that we should get out. I'm just postulating on why Putin might have directed Trump to withdraw US forces. Trump's not doing it because it's good US policy (even if it happens to be). He's doing it because he was told to do it.

What we should be concerned with...is an alliance between Syria, Russia, and Turkey! Because once the Syrian rebels are destroyed, that particular Axis of Evil, will be going after the Kurds.

Remember the Kurds? US allies in the fight against Saddam and ISIS! Trump is going to leave them high and dry...leaving the door open for their elimination by the new Axis powers!

Yet again the United States leaves an indigenous ally to fend for themselves!

If his tiny fingers or ass mouth is moving, he's always lying. He's just a lazy prick and so wanted to put all the grunt work of actually looking at intelligence and making plans onto them - EXCEPT - where Russia is concerned. In those instances he calls the shots as demanded by Putin, regardless of the impact on our troops, our country or any other country. He's PUtin's hand puppet and was put in that job by Putin personally.

Disturbing but true. If you've ever watched Samanatha Bee's piece on it when she traveled there.

Perhaps from a distance, he is seen as a strong man leader. Maybe it is what they are used to having and admiring in a leader. They are, or had been, getting support from the US for a long time now, through Obama's time, but it seems they respect more a blistering braggart than a diplomatic courteous President. Maybe that was also tinged with racism.

Maybe a few will change their tune now
