Do you think he will come out of this Russia investigation as a significant historical figure?
How do you think he has been handling his job?
I heard some talking head on cable news describe him as an "institutionalist" and a very strong believer in the idea of justice.
I tend to think he has been one of the strongest voices in this entire saga of Russian influence in our elections?
What do you see his role in the near future?

(43,182 posts)I was suspect of everyone--and I mean everyone---who was appointed by the administration, and that included Rosenstein, but he seems to have valued his independence so far.
Of course, if he's removed from his position--or if his recused boss is removed, for that matter--things go very bad very quickly.
I still don't trust him.

(1,009 posts)Didnt he say trump never put pressure on him regarding mueller investigation? Hard to believe, unless hes just trying not to get fired.

(51,611 posts)"with the Russian investigation " so I do take him seriously. Also, he had dinner with Sessions in a very public DC restaurant to show the fake prez that he is on the side of law (Sessions would have to fire Mueller or get Rosentein to do it now).

(32,086 posts)I thought for sure that he was going to just be another right-wing toady. but it's looking like that's not really the case. I'm sure he's conservative, but it looks like he's been putting his duty and his country above politics. We'll see if that continues. I don't completely trust him, but he's not behaving as I had expected at the onset.
