Suppose a landowner with property hugging the border does not want troops on their land. He does not have the authority to station them on privately owned land.

He's created an emergency ( invasion) where we are being forced to act immediately to stop the caravans of immigrants trying to cross the border illegally.

-in his and far right's eyes justifies harsh anti-immigration rhetoric and probably coming anti-immigration executive orders

-feeds the base

-creates the illusion that he's being a leader taking action against this invasion (because the Dems "won't" and "they want open borders" etc)

-distraction

I’ve never heard of a hoard of armed Latino illegals charging across the border to invade is.

Does Trump plan to have the National Guard shoot people?
