My 95 year old aunt feels much safer living in the capital of Mexico than she does visiting me in California!

(51,609 posts)Sometimes you can smell the hops cooking from the beer factory when you drive closer. I stopped going to TJ about 20 years ago and prefer Tecate. It is so easy to park, walk over the border and no one speaks English. It is the real, non touristy Mexico. A hidden gem. A cute little town square and the best fresh shrimp in garlic butter anywhere and freshly made guac (all for $10). I always get the same thing...too yummy. I want to go down now and see the new murals painted across the border since the sucking moron came to power.
