WASINGTON — Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann says she would put U.S. missiles on alert and consider blockading Iran to let that country know it should not develop nuclear weapons.

The congresswoman from Minnesota says she would deploy Patriot missiles, ballistic missiles and other weapon systems in the U.S. and the Middle East to show Iran that “we will do whatever it takes.”

Now why on earth is Iran acting as they are in the first place? Answer: Because they feel threatened.
Why do they feel threatened? Answer: Because of the war mongering Americans actions in the Middle East and they know they are next.
Despite the one letter difference in the name, Iran is not Iraq. If we couldn't win in Iraq (or Afghanistan), we have no chance in Iran.
If we are dumb enough to invade Iran, the only reason we will not get our head handed back to us is be cause there will not be a head left to hand back.
We really do not want to do this.

Iran will do as it wants, we could take out Iran anytime without alert from subs, missiles, air force and navy. They know we need the will to do it and the consequences of doing so, would be very bad as is the consequences of not doing so.
If they develope nuclear weapons, they would blackmail us every chance they got, it would be like a cuban missile crisis every other year. They must be stopped, but alerts will not do it.

The minute Iran chooses to close the Strait they put a real target on their head the only instantaneous descision would be how much ordinance to send their way. In the interim you are left listening to their empty threats. They have the potential to make Kim Jong Il sound like a diplomat. Their ambition and stupidity are a good match for GOP Presidential candidates.
