If they're familiar with the game, they'll ask you which policies you're referring to.

If it's something Reagan did, they'll say it takes 12-16 years.

If it's something Clinton did, they'll say it takes 6-8 years.

If it's something related to Obama, they'll say the effects start to take place six months before his inauguration.

The timeline shifts depending on what you're talking about. The good times are *always* the result of a Republican president's policies, and the bad times are *always* the fault of a Democratic president. They'll just adjust their view of time to accommodate that assumption.
