FLIPPABLE: Matt Sain for MO-HD14

Matt Sain was born in Dayton, Ohio. He grew up in St. Louis, Missouri with his three older sisters and parents who are both pastors with his father being retired from the Air Force.

His parents emphasized putting others before himself no matter what the situation was. Matt was active in sports and marching band in high school.

Matt attended Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, and graduated in May of 2013 with a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Legal Studies. His major focused around public service both on a policy level and on a practical level.

The day after he graduated he married the love of his life, Courtney, and spent the next two years in St. Louis working as a paralegal for a local law firm in Clayton, Missouri. In 2015 Matt and Courtney moved to Kansas City for Matt to attend University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. Shortly after beginning law school, they had their first son, Mayer.

Matt’s desire to help other people fueled his desire to go to law school to focus on family law, mediation, and pro bono work. However, he quickly found out that many of Missouri’s laws, rules, and regulations, hurt many Missourians. Through dedication and a passion to make life better for those around him, Matt realized that he was ready to stand-up and represent his friends and neighbors around him, which led him to decide to run for the Missouri House of Representatives 14th District.

Matt works as a law clerk for Bautista LeRoy in Kansas City, Missouri.
