http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/(CNN) - Ron Paul dinged rival Rick Santorum Monday for being a "very liberal" candidate, saying the former Pennsylvania senator and staunch social conservative voted for too much spending during his time in Congress.
Speaking to CNN Senior Congressional Correspondent Dana Bash before a campaign event with his son, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, the White House hopeful said his rival had taken positions counter to true conservative ideas.

(37,364 posts)each other as being "liberal" and claiming to be "the true conservative." None of them are either liberal or conservative, but radical and batshit crazy. Period. We've been watching this bunch for months now here and there is nothing to recommend any of them to any ideology save the uninformed.

(32 posts)The definition Paul is using for liberal includes anyone who sees the government as a tool to engineer society toward a desired outcome. This is the basis for the whole both parties are the same claim as well even though the two major parties want to use government to reengineer society for different reasons.
