Flint water protesters block all lanes of WB I-69 in Flint during rush hour

FLINT, Mich. – Traffic on westbound I-69 in Flint was disrupted by a group of protesters blocking traffic.

The incident happened just before 7 p.m. Wednesday between the I-475 interchange and Saginaw Street exit.

A group identifying themselves as Flint Lives Matter stopped their vehicles across multiple lanes of the westbound expressway just past the I-475 entrance.

Flint Lives Matter is a group known for protesting the ongoing water crisis in Flint and the health effects it has had on the citizens.

The allowable lead levels for tap water is 15 parts per billion. The Flint water has been tested by multiple independent test labs (including a test paid for by the ACLU) at 4 ppb, well under limits.

In fact, bottled water is allowed lead levels of 5 ppb making Flint's tap water cleaner even than bottled water
