Black republicans and conservatives

I just don’t understand how they can be in a party where a good chunk of the people are racists.

But what really pisses me off is that these people use their “blackness” as a ticket to be prejudice against other African Americans. On top of that, they say that other black people talk about color too much and need to stop, but they are the ones using their color to become known and make money.

that denigrate their group as a way to prove they themselves are better than said group. It's a strange way to prove ones worth to society but there ya go.

I recall reading Clarence Thomas' "My Grandfather's Son" where he writes about how his father was a man with some problems and how his grandfather raised him with middle class values and a Catholic School education and how that showed him that all you need to "succeed" is effort. He then turned around and has spent the rest of his life condemning those who did not "succeed."

I find it amusing that they use the argument: 'Well, the Bible clearly says...'

Especially since that's the argument that white Southerners used to justify and defend the institution of slavery.
