I hope Trump takes it to the Supreme Court.

It does not appear that Trump is going to agree to any type of interview with Robert Mueller. If Mueller subpoenas him to the Grand Jury, he will refuse that also. It will then go to the courts, where it will eventually end up in the Supreme Court.

How would they decide? The Court is tilted to the right and Trump would feel comfortable with his chances to win his case. If they were to decide that Donald Trump, as the President, could not be forced to submit to a subpoena, it would be an historical decision.

Time is not on our side. It is possible that this investigation will end up in the Courts. Maybe that will be a good thing? But, it means that there is not going to be a quick resolution to this crisis that is eating at the soul of America.

There will never be a political resolution to Donald Trump's lawlessness. Neither Party is willing to impeach him or stop his daily assault upon our democracy and our Constitution.

The sooner it makes it to the Court, the better, in my opinion.

Those that would like for this to end with Mueller's report or subpoenas are not going to be happy with the direction it is going. Donald Trump sees protection from his position in the White House. And he will use it at every turn to protect himself from answering to the rule of law.

Mueller is not going to indict Donald Trump.

Republicans are not going to hold him responsible.

Democrats, if they win the House, are not going to impeach.

Donald Trump is going to ignore Mueller's request for an interview and will ignore his subpoena if it comes to that?

It is coming down to a decision from our Judicial Branch.

Because the rest of our government is broken.

In his mind, he is like the king. He has no respect for the laws or institutions of this country. He breaks laws in the open public, because that is normal for him.

Just like I think people around here should put a hell of a lot more weight behind the confidentiality issue with respect to Trump and Cohen and Steins concerns.

Are these people pieces of shit? Yes. Yet these issues are our issues. Progressives should care deeply about them and proving guilt should play no role in how we determine them to be decided.
