He added: The Senate and the House are net fishing, Caputo said. The special counsel is spearfishing. They know what they are aiming at and are deadly accurate.

(60,010 posts)that seemed to throw Trump the most.
I like the way Mueller leaks stuff designed to push Trump's buttons.

(52,205 posts)we don't know half of the obstruction, but likely none of it is classified. plenty of it was out in public or has been leaked.
the collusion was always more clandestine, and some of it is classified. so of course we don't know as much about it.
you may be right, it may be mostly about obstruction; certainly seems easier to prove.
but i think there's a lot there about collusion as well, it just hasn't fully come out yet.
we're starting to get bits and pieces and it already sounds pretty damning.

(171,057 posts)Trump claims Mueller has 'no questions on collusion' despite list with 13 questions about collusion
....
Theres just one problem the list actually contains 13 questions directly pertaining to campaign coordination with Russia, as the Times puts it, including:
When did you become aware of the Trump Tower meeting?
What involvement did you have in the communication strategy, including the release of Donald Trump Jr.s emails?
During a 2013 trip to Russia, what communication and relationships did you have with the Agalarovs and Russian government officials?
What communication did you have with Michael D. Cohen, Felix Sater and others, including foreign nationals, about Russian real estate developments during the campaign?
What discussions did you have during the campaign regarding any meeting with Mr. Putin? Did you discuss it with others?
What discussions did you have during the campaign regarding Russian sanctions?
What involvement did you have concerning platform changes regarding arming Ukraine?
During the campaign, what did you know about Russian hacking, use of social media or other acts aimed at the campaign?
What knowledge did you have of any outreach by your campaign, including by Paul Manafort, to Russia about potential assistance to the campaign?
What did you know about communication between Roger Stone, his associates, Julian Assange or WikiLeaks?
What did you know during the transition about an attempt to establish back-channel communication to Russia, and Jared Kushners efforts?
What do you know about a 2017 meeting in Seychelles involving Erik Prince?
What do you know about a Ukrainian peace proposal provided to Mr. Cohen in 2017?

In response to news of Lewandowski's departure from the campaign Caputo, who runs communications for Trump's caucus team, sent out a tweet saying "Ding Dong the witch is dead."

(51,588 posts)Former Donald Trump campaign aide Michael Caputo slammed the Senate Intelligence Committee's Russia investigation on Tuesday, charging that the probe has cost him $125,000 and is forcing him to move from the Buffalo area in order to pay off legal bills.
Caputo was interviewed behind closed doors on Tuesday as part of the committee's investigation into 2016 Russian election meddling. He was also interviewed last year by the House Intelligence Committee.
"Your investigation and others into the allegations of Trump campaign collusion with Russia are costing my family a great deal of money -- more than $125,000 -- and making a visceral impact on my children," Caputo said in a prepared statement that he delivered at the end of the Senate interview, which was provided to CNN.
"What America needs is an investigation of the investigators," Caputo said. "I want to know who is paying for the spies' work and coordinating this attack on President Donald Trump? I want to know who Dan Jones is talking to across the investigations -- from the FBI, to the Southern District of New York, to the OSC, to the Department of Justice, to Congress."
He added, "I want to know because God Damn you to Hell."

(11,563 posts)Ideally, that is what they do, especially when there are several jurisdictional considerations.
Second....all due respect to Buffalo, where is he going to move to that is significantly cheaper? Somewhere very rural, I guess.
What a weasel! All butthurt because law enforcement isn't ignoring their numerous crimes.

(38,420 posts)What that means is this. .. Mueller's team knows the whole picture, not part of the picture all of it
this includes....collusion, money laundering, election tampering, money from outside illegal sources, etc...
..............why? Mueller brought on experts in all areas of the possible crime..all areas and the
..............experts have built a case. My guess is that it is a very strong case about the whole show, with
.............. boss at the top, Trump, going for a really great fall... and let us add a few more ideas...
.................Who has helped Mueller and his team?..oh the FBI, all the Justice Dept, Foreign police that
...................might have information about "money laundering".. other crime fighting orgs that
................work with the FBI, unknown contacts that Mueller has obtained in many years of working in
................crime fighting field, unknown contacts that Comey has after many years in this area.
................(yes Comey probably is helping Mueller if he can, didn't Trump fire Comey?)......... .
................Are not Comey and Mueller friends and fellow FBI leaders? one more idea. Experts
................ that have been working on this case...have been working on this for many months,( 1year)
................time to build this case from the ground up. Is that also correct?

(37,648 posts)makes the same observation, that they are impressive. Nunberg said the American public should be happy that they are getting their money's worth from Mueller. They're apparently well prepared and intimidating, but not from bullying.

(81,221 posts)No bravado, on the heels of his having been interviewed by Mueller. His demeanor seemed somewhat chastened.
I think the people who work for, or cover for, trump & comp take their cues from the boss. The cocky swagger, the attitude of invincibility, the flagrant careless lying and bullshitting. This schtick has worked for trump for decades. Hes a con man and hes used to blustering and posturing and trying to look as big and badass as possible. Thats HIS perception management, making you think hes bigger and badder and bolder and certainly wealthier than anybody (especially you). Its worked in the fast-talking high-rolling Manhattan real estate world. And hes gotten away with it every time so far.
And because hes the boss here and the alpha, and all the underlings will imprint upon the alpha as they strive to be big and badass and rich like theyve come to believe he is.
But nothing lasts forever, and neither does the alpha du jour. Any viewing of the Planet Earth series or Wild Kingdom type programs will tell you about how the alpha of the pack eventually gets old, sloppy, or appears weaker and theres ALWAYS the younger, stronger, more able, and less intimidated challenger that will eventually kill or wound or overpower the elder. Luck eventually runs out. Our boy trump may not be at the top of the ziggurat for much longer. Especially if complacency sets in with him and around him.
I suspect hes never faced the kind of adversary that the Justice Department, the federal prosecutors, the US attorneys, the special counsel, and The Rule of Law. He may scoff at all that and think theyre just more adversaries to bully and bluster the way he does when hes about to screw over his subcontractors or impress Howard Stern again. But this, now, with Robert Mueller and company, is WAAAAAY more alpha than hell ever be.
