On a side note, I'd read that book when it came out during the Reagan years. As much as I did not like Reagan as president, I never really felt any critical anxiety from the book. It "felt" like fiction that really wasn't terribly plausible. I recently watched the first season on Netflix, and I must admit.. With the current administration, and the way they seem to be headed it really no longer feels all that far-fetched and implausible a possibility.
