"Jobsy the Elephant haz a sad"-or My Adventures With the RNC Donation Survey!!

The RNC decided to send around a donation beg-notice in the form of an "Official Survey!!11" to my house. This thing was monstrously huge and must have cost a fortune to print and bulk mail. You'll notice later on that they grovel for a $15 "Survey tabulating" donation--classy. They also asked on the mail return envelope that you stick a stamp over the bulk mail return postage to save them money. Naturally, I declined.

Instead they will get some new artwork, courtesy of Starry Messenger from my empire here in Revolutionary Silicon Valley. I thought I'd share:

I wrote something smart-alecky about the $15 to tabulate it. Something to the effect that 'no, I will not send $15 to help tabulate this propaganda, and hope they got their $15 worth out of what I wrote". If they are dumb enough to send a pre-paid mailer, I toss in a bunch of useless paper...or some wood paneling scrap or some such.

Love your Jobsy the Elephant.

And I am crazy about writing on the outside of envelopes like you did. I often write back to Repubs "Is fear-mongerning all you have?"

I leave my sediments, words.

Then I place a few small round stones in the envelope, like maybe they will get the idea and have to pay extra as well. I don't use sand or anything that looks like flour or sugar, so the mail folks don't get upset.

If their idealogical thought bubbles can even be called policies.

Half their plank is Obama hate which is going to drive them even
more nuts when he wins a second term.

Then the impeachment train will get rolling and take that to the bank.

I haven't gotten one of these yet, but if I do, I will give them a taste of Jobsy! Maybe I need to be in a less-Blue zip code, or subscribe to the WSJ or something... Or maybe an insect has to fall into their printer so they send it to Buttle instead of Tuttle.

If I pm the urls, the pictures will try to show up as pictures, because DU's software automatically displays them.

Here are the addresses with a space.

http: //i955.photobucket.com/albums/ae35/mpkartist/391411_4353336830754_1281952165_n.jpg

http: //i955.photobucket.com/albums/ae35/mpkartist/406311_4353438913306_1182661407_n.jpg

When you paste the address into your browser, take out the space between the http: and the //. Hopefully that will work! I'll be going out for awhile, so hopefully if this doesn't work, some awesome DUer will see this and have some better ideas.

Your replies are much more artistic than mine. However, your filled in boxes match mine perfectly. I also declined to donate postage or any money to their cause. I am going to steal your tax return note before I drop it in the mail box today.

It is curious to me to receive this. I recently re-registered because I moved. I registered as a Democrat rather than NP (No Party). The survey was sent to my current address, so the OCRP is trolling the voter lists from the Registrar of Voters. My voting history is included on the list. So they know I have voted (D) in the last 8 election cycles (including any 'special' elections). I wonder how my name turned up on their bulk mailing list?

They have to process donations, the paperwork will drive them crazy. Of course you should tape the penny to a brick as someone above suggested.
