If Trump can prove that he had a slush fund for paying out hush money for his extramarital affairs that he put under Cohen’s control and never really checked in to see how it was being paid out, then yes…. they’re in the clear.

1. depends on source of the funds of the slush fund as well as timeline of payouts

if during an election cycle and prior to the voting, any payouts would be consider "in-kind" services and subject to FEC rules and reporting. If slush fund monies were gathered in a way and paid out in a manner against the law then its considered money laundering...the finances will send the trumps to prison....always follow the money.
