The moron refuses to testify, he is subpeonaed, the Supreme Court says he has to speak, he pleads the 5th and then what? By this time it is 6 months from now (midterms). Let's say the Dems win and impeach him but the Senate won't convict him. What happens then? He will drag this out to 2020 then what? Bill Maher brought this up with his guests and they had no real answers either.

(54,013 posts)If you think the president committed High crimes or misdemeanors, then you impeach him. If the Senate will not convict him, the Senate will not convict him. But that's our system. I trust it enough to see how it plays itself out.

(54,013 posts)It's because of a lack of serious media coverage among the American press. Donald Trump's ties to Russian organized crime figures as a means of laundering money in the West is pretty well documented in the Canadian news shows I've been listening to.
