Is Eric Schneiderman Chuck Rhoades?

Is anyone here a fan of the Showtime series “Billions?”

Paul Gematti plays AG for the southern District of NY Chuck Rhoades, whose sex life centers around his being the submissive to his psychologist wife’s dominatrix. Sort of the opposite of Schneiderman’s “role playing.”

It begs the question: did the producers/writers of “Billions” know something about Schneiderman’s sex life, and did they use that info to craft their Charles Rhoades character? Seems like too easy of a coincidence for it to be a coincidence.

claim that your characters are fictitious and not based on real people. You do that by switching roles, as was done here. That way, the titilating idea is presented but the producers avoid the claim that they based a character on a specific person, as that could open them up to lawsuits.

Besides, the fact that they can parade Maggie Siff around in leather boots, corset and stockings every 5 episodes is a bonus. Hell, the series opened with her dressed in her dominatrix outfit pissing on her AG husband. That was Scene 1 of the series.

and mental abuse. Let's not minimize this: it wasn't a game, and it wasn't consensual. It was criminal activity.

That show during a free preview weekend Showtime had. I really liked it. However I did not realize at the time I was watching a documentary.

is going to visit a dominatrix other than herself, and in one episode, he did so without clearing it with her. So, while consensual with the other dominatrix, he broke the consent rule that exists between he and his spouse.

They made up the BDSM stuff with some inspiration from Eliot Spitzer's escort service use. Is there something in the water in NY?
