5. Santorum has been a fringe nut for a long time.

He didn't need the Koch's to guide him in any way. Besides, the Koch's seem to have made most of those candidates whores to them. But I remember him back when he was representing PA, and he was far out of the mainstream then too. You have to remember that all those people in Iowa are still confused---the majority right now is still for "undecided". They had better decide soon, and it could go any way.
