Turns out, putting Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III in charge of the Justice Department has had some ill effects.

Jesus H. Christ on Wonder Bread, white people in this country done gone crazy. If we’re not siccing the police on our African-American fellow citizens for a) not waving, b) sleeping, or c) showing up to the Waffle House in formal dress, we’re letting people like Pat McCrory, the former governor of the newly insane state of North Carolina, and one of America’s most enthusiastic vote-suppressors, out in public without his minders again. From local WBTV:

“All primaries are then determined by the Black Political Caucus, a small group of individuals,” McCrory said on his morning talk show on News Talk 1110 WBT Radio…"Within that party, we now see that the Black Political Caucus is the major influencer in who wins the Democratic primary…I'm worried about the segregated aspects of Charlotte-Mecklenburg politics, and lack of diversity we might have.”

This must be why McCrory worked so hard to keep the state’s electorate whiter than the Masters.

This is all easily mockable, but putting in place an administration chock-full at its upper echelons with people who are, at best, white-supremacist-curious has real world consequences we’ve only begun to see.

So, when I'm done laughing, now what?

This is truly pathetic - another wee-little example of what's happening to our democracy under the IQ45 regime.

WE are the ones that must do something about it. There is SO MUCH more to lose - it must stop!

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
