8. Some 35 years ago as a much younger man I was a Christian, a holiness Pentecostal

and they look down on evangelicals as barely being Christian.
I studied the doctrine of the Rapture to be able to better defend it since my minister, Brother Eastman, was a big believer and teacher of biblical prophecy. I studied it in the original languages and the Rapture is not even good biblical exegesis in taking different versus and forcing them together to come up with this "doctrine" which the early believers knew nothing about. So even from an honest biblical point of view the doctrine of the Rapture is crap.
My studying the Bible to confirm by beliefs had the opposite effect because I came out the other side an unbeliever and now an atheist.
