If there was a hint of sanity ....Total BAN on School shooting footage

Of course its just one of a long list of needed remedies. But I feel the ghoulish fascination that we indulge on these events FULFILLS the SHOOTERS fantasy. Emphasis because it gives motivation for the next shooter.

Edit:
Allow on air notification & local coverage only. Printed media & coverage fine-Just no video.

the shooter gets a high from it.

He is one person.

I think the kids are under tremendous strain in any school. Mix that with the access to guns and you have school shootings.

We need to care for the kids well being and get rid of our gun culture.

....a) it was actually constitutional (it’s not) and b) it’s scientifically proven to reduce these events (it hasn’t been).

as an example. I believe it is not the only study on this phenomenon.

So people are not just talking out of their butts when they question whether society at large would be better served if the media covered terrorism (or other things like suicides) differently.

These scumbags represent a nationwide movement of a violent racist/white supremacist vanguard, the whole idea is to sow confusion and fear amongst the population. Schools are being attacked as a soft target. The fact, they are attacking whites is simply a sacrifice in a wider guerrilla war against the country. These people are animals and should be treated as such. If we want to solve this problem, we should be rounding up and imprisoning all racist/white supremacist militia groups.

Americans get the vapors at real-life violence being shown on television or the internet. They sneered and scolded when Middle Eastern TV stations showed un-blurred bombing/rocket/drone casualties during the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

They love on-screen violence, but only if it is a) Looney Tunes cartoon style, b) Western style (getting shot once throws you 10 feet backwards and you go limp and expire instantly), c) fiery explosions (which bystanders magically survive), d) splashes of blood (without seeing the source directly).

People ought to be confronted with what these crime scenes, wounds, dead bodies, scarring/maiming after "recovery" looks like. EVERY damn time.

the need for the victims to TELL their stories, which is part of the healing process.

I certainly think that naming the shooter should be minimized...More attention on the victims and their lives.
