He was lucky to not be killed or left paralyzed. Either he's a low-key guy or he's still in shock over his horrible experience.

amazing his excitement talking about his teammate's baseball game kind of brought back what high school was--or rather should be all about.

He is one fortunate young man. He was alert enough to put pressure on the bleeder (his mother works in ICU).
