Trump reportedly wants to punish Amazon by trying to double Postal Service rates

Like Amazon or not, this is wrong in so many ways.

https://www.theverge.com/2018/5/18/17369482/donald-trump-amazon-jeff-bezos-feud-punish-postal-service-rates

President Donald Trump has personally asked the Postmaster General Megan Brennan to double the rate the US Postal Service charges companies like Amazon to use its services, according to a report from The Washington Post today. The move is just the latest, and perhaps most dramatic, turn in the ongoing feud between the sitting president and Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, the richest man in the world and owner of The Washington Post. Trump has often criticized the newspaper for its coverage of his administration.

Brennan has managed to keep Trump at bay, fearful the request could massively complicate existing contracts between the USPS and companies like Amazon, many of which are reportedly reviewed by a regulatory commission, The Post reports. Yet last month, Trump ordered a Postal Service review via executive order so that a task force can evaluate the finances of the organization, presumably to help back up his claim that it loses billions a year due to poor deals struck with Amazon and others.

MORE than 100% will be passed on...

It's like all those businesses that used 9/11 to fire full-time employees and replace them with part ones... corporations will use any and every trick to make a buck... even Trump's stupidity and awfulness.

The repubs have wanted to privatize the USPS for a long time and this would certainly help by depriving it of much needed revenue.
God, how I hate these bastards and all who support them.

16. Here, Amazon uses their own delivery service, their own trucks, etc., the whole thing.

I don't know how it is in other areas, but certainly UPS or FedX should work. They all work together.

I understand sometimes stuff goes by FedX, I believe, and then USPS delivers the last part to a person's house, because USPS can deliver anyplace. I think this is sometimes how it works in really rural areas.

The guy's an idiot, really, he is clearly not intelligent at all. I don't see how he got where he is, except people often cave into bullies and money. I don't get it why Deplorables still support him. Just about everything he does hurts them. What stooges.

Someone once told me at USPS that if it were not for Amazon and eBay packages they would really be hurting, that that is a large part of their business.
