Meghan Markles rescue dog, a beagle named Guy, rode into Windsor with Queen Elizabeth earlier this week
Please be seated for the most important announcement about the royal wedding: Meghan Markle's dog, Guy, was just in Windsor with the Queen. The bride-to-be's beagle was seen living his best life yesterday, peeking out the window while hitching a ride with her Majesty. (They're carpool buddies now. No big deal.)
We haven't even seen Meghan alone in a car with the sovereign, but here's Guy, four legged and all, riding in the back seat with the Queen.

(115,836 posts)Corgis can be kind of bitey, but maybe only toward people.
And how awesome is it that he has a chauffeur?

(17,635 posts)...so no they are bitey toward other animals as well.

(6,804 posts)I have a Corgi and a Golden Retriever. When we walk down the hill they are always together. Our cats join us, too. Granted Corgis can be a little on the tiresome side. With love and the word NO they become part of the group.

I'm sure she'll find the little beagle a source of comfort. I hope so, anyway. My mother kept corgis. They are extremely smart, quite friendly, and most definitely one-person dogs. I'm a miniature dachshund man, myself.

(115,836 posts)I knew a corgi once. He was scary smart. His humans didn't want him to sleep on their leather couch so they put little squares of paper in the center of each cushion so they could tell if he was on the couch when they weren't around. One day they came home and found the dog pushing one of those little squares of paper back to the center of a cushion with his nose.

(9,733 posts)A fall, a broken hip, could mean curtains for either one of them. If she lasts four more years, she will have reigned for 70 years. I remember listening to her coronation on the radio with my parents. It was a big deal. We didn't get television until the next year, 1954.

(9,273 posts)Obvious Mom was the lab. NO idea how that happened. Hes cute, like a smallish black lab with corgi ears and white paws.

(21,596 posts)Her personal, and now all deceased, corgis were all descendants of her first corgi, Susan, which was given to her by her parents.
So, she currently has two dorgis and an adopted corgi.

(17,183 posts)She's a genuine animal lover. Body language (human & dog) doesn't lie.

(21,596 posts)The picture of her as a young girl is so beautiful.
She loves her dogs and they love her.
Her last two corgis starred in the famous James Bond London Olympic opening ceremony video!

One of my best childhood friends had a dog named Megan. Every time they'd call to the dog, I'd turn and respond.

(34,447 posts)remembered the story of little Gobi, the stray dog who ran the marathon in the Gobi Desert with Dion Leonard for 3 days. He had to stay with Gobi in Beijing for 4 months while he got regular rabies titers for the little guy before he could enter Scotland. Unless they've changed the law since 2016.

(4,402 posts)but I don't know if there is a loophole for the royal family. I would suspect not since I don't think QEII is generally a big fan of exceptions that only apply to the royals.
