So can we NOW stop trashing Nancy Pelosi for saying the same thing Bernie Sanders just said?
Please?

(22,919 posts)It's not too soon for activists to be talking about impeachment of course, it fires us up. But Democrats running for national office overwhelmingly already have our support. Our candidates need to be talking about issues, and how Republicans in Congress are screwing the country, to win over some additional votes.

(82,849 posts)But it's precisely the right time to prepare the ground for the seeds of impeachment. Remember, the articles of impeachment under consideration by Peter Rodino's House committee included abuse of power and obstruction of justice. If Nixon was in danger of impeachment for those charges, Trump is subject to the same jeopardy.
Impeachment won't happen without carefully working the refs and public opinion. Run down the list of high crimes and misdemeanors (including bribery) and repeat it often. One persistent failure of Democrats is thinking that if we say something once or twice, everyone will get it, and that's not true. We avoid repeating ourselves because it's boring and feels like we're being pedantic. But we need to get over that, and run the list every time we get on the air. The crimes don't go away because we continue to list them. The wrongdoing won't wear out. Put your thumb on the scales and weight the conversation in favor of impeachment.

(28,281 posts)There ought to be more than talking going on, concerning impeachment. Pelosi and Bernie's opinions have never counted much with me; I don't see that changing any time soon.

(2,050 posts)I was at his rally in Seattle when he let two women just walk up and take it over from him, pissed me off as I didn't care to spend nearly two hours in my car to watch him waste my time and cower.
Just like he's doing with this, I wanted to hear him not somebody else and I sure as hell cant get behind someone who says crap like this.
They should be trying everything to get this fool out of our White House, just walking away when it's your duty to stand up and be counted isn't my idea of a leader.
I really thought I'd like to hear what he had to say, no longer.

(9,500 posts)Especially when there is so much evident corruption. We should be slamming that 24-7. Not saying we should take our eyes completely off Mueller and we need to protect the investigation, but the Republican's will not vote to impeach on obstruction of justice, which is probably the only thing we can get him on until we find out all that Mueller knows.
