Trump keeps handing out military awards in major photo ops as his way of identifying with military.

I bet he has publicly given out more of these wards than any other President in the last decade in such a short time. After demanding the men and women of the Intel community, this seems like a way to garner or keep support among the military and Intel communities and serves as a makeup call for how he has demeaned John McCain which many military really detested.

1. He loves being the center of attention however he can.

I bet he schedules these to make the press scramble back and forth and to keep the American people focused on him. This is EXACTLY how you maintain viewers for your reality show. Watch him scare us, confuse us, try to ease us, take credit, direct blame. It's a reality show to him. I don't think anyone has any idea how to bring this person down. He's too good at what he does. And, his skills, have absolutely nothing to do with making our country great.

2. Trump doesn't decide who gets them; he just presents them.

It's a long process that is initiated in the recipient's military chain of command. It goes through a board, then Manpower Affairs, then the Chief of Staff of the military branch, then the secretary of that branch, then the Secretary of Defense, and can take as much as two years. Today's awards would have been initiated and approved before Spanky became "president" and really have nothing to do with him.

5. I'm sure that's true, but did any other president

get live coverage during the middle of the day to present these awards? Did the cable networks interrupt their regular programming to show it end to end like they do for him? Don't remember that.

6. I know Obama awarded a lot of them and I recall seeing news clips

Everything he does or says is aimed specifically at his base.
