At the end of the day, Michael Scott has a heart and sometimes showed compassion. Trump has a personality disorder.and is a sociopath.

I have never laughed at any of Trump's words or actions. Just shake my head in disgust.

Although I got a chuckle out of Melania slapping his hand away.

He is without question the dumbest "leader" in the history of the world. Look at this shit:

Look, having nuclear—my uncle was a great professor and scientist  and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes,
OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart
—you know, if you're a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if,
like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I'm one of the
smartest people anywhere in the world—it's true!—but when you're a
conservative Republican they try—oh, do they do a number—that's
why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went
there, went there, did this, built a fortune—you know I have to give my
like credentials all the time, because we're a little disadvantaged—but
you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me—it would
have been so easy, and it's not as important as these lives are (nuclear
is powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the
power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of
what's going to happen and he was right—who would have thought?),
but when you look at what's going on with the four prisoners—now it
used to be three, now it's four—but when it was three and even now, I
would have said it's all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because,
you know, they don't, they haven't figured that the women are smarter
right now than the men, so, you know, it's gonna take them about
another 150 years—but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians  are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us.

But despite his self-absorption he didn't intend any harm.

when I first re-watched The Office on Netflix. I was using it to help me sleep, so I played every episode, then back to the start, and I was shocked by how selfish MS is, how he requiresd constant praise, how his attention can be diverted by a compliment--I was amazed by how much he reminded me of Donald Trump. I posted about it, and I got the reactions you did--that MS is a sweet doofus kind of thing.

I have continued to use The Office as my nightly sleep aid, and my opinion changed after about the fourth iteration, and it was difficult for me to understand how strongly I felt MS was like Trump. And now I have completely switched and can't imagine how I could have felt that way.

Maybe it's some point in the series where MS's behavior makes him most Trumpish. I don't know. But it tickles and interests me that you have exactly the same response as I had. I'm guessing you're watching on Comedy Central? If you watch the series all the way through just once, I don't know if you'll change your mind as I did. As I say, it took several viewings of the entire series to make me wonder how I could ever have thought MS was like Trump.

If you do come to change your mind, could you let me know? I find this fascinating.
