He pretty much responded with 'you can't tell me; I do what I waaaaaant.'

OK then.

At some point, the crimes won't be deniable any longer. I suspect their line then will be something like 'well yes it was illegal, but he did it for America, can't u see that that makes It ok? Can't u see that he's operating so far AHEAD of the law, because the laws on the books just aren't good enough/ up the the task?

Mark my words, they will claim patriotism in defense of treason, cause they think ALL of us are just that stupid that we'll buy that bullshit.
