I totally disagree with Kessler !!I watched a few minutes on C-PAN of an interview with Ronald Kessler discussing his book The Trump White House.
Kessler said:
Trump reads all the major newspapers each morning from the front page to the back page, reading every article, and retaining the information.
(Kessler mentioned the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal)
Kessler also said the Secret Service is demoralized and not adequately protecting the President especially at this time with all these assassination threats from Democrats.
I turned it off, having had my fill of B.S.
In a related interview, Jake Tapper said about this book:
The book, which will be released this week, defends the president, according to Tapper, on topics like the Russia investigation, the Access Hollywood tape, and his marriage to Melania.
It also "repeatedly attacks the press," Tapper said.

(We've been told Trump's daily intel briefing has to be kept to one page because he doesn't like to read)

BTW, which job/ambassadorship is Kessler seeking?

(63,221 posts)There is absolutely NO WAY he has the attention span for that. He can barely get through a one-pager written in extra-large type with bullet-points and pictures.
As usual, more blatant lies from the deplorables.

Kessler a conservative author who has published more than 20 non-fiction books on topics like the presidency, the U.S. Secret Service, the FBI, and the CIA believes that years from now, Trump's "tweets and controversies will be forgotten." However, "at the same time," he said, "there are plenty of negative items in the book."
...
He is the author of The First Family Detail: Secret Service Agents Reveal the Hidden Lives of Presidents, which included disparaging details about the Clintons and was found to have several inaccuracies, The Week reported.
...
In 2014, Kessler was accused in a report by the Senate Intelligence Committee of pushing false claims about the effectiveness of "enhanced interrogation techniques" by the CIA. The report states Kessler was "blessed" by then-director of Central Intelligence, George Tenet, and that his book, The CIA at War, "included inaccurate claims about the effectiveness of CIA interrogations, much of it consistent with the inaccurate information being provided by the CIA to policymakers at that time."

Every book ever written has mistakes. But experts are supposed to get the main things right, and reporters generally follow through when someone tells them something. Too often, Kessler seems to have listened to his sources, written their words down, and then simply printed as fact their allegations or observations without checking on them.

(50,269 posts)There is no way Trump reads an entire newspaper. If anything, he would pay someone to mark the name "Trump" with a highlighter and read a sentence here and there. At best Trump is semi-literate.

"I don't recall if that was from Marmaduke or Family Circus, but I definitely recall reading it!"
