My Surprise Encounter With A RWinger Today

I had a surprise encounter with a right winger today. His stance was that women are being selfish about contraception. It proves they only care for themselves. Just don't get pregnant. Women should know how to avoid it. Just don't have sex. It used to be that condoms could only be bought if you were 21. And they were hidden behind the counter. It's all these entitlements that were the problem and caused the recession.

All the disconnected logic was too dumbfounding to even reply to. And a young 24 year old commented that he did not have any children he did not know about.

It all makes my head spin.

1. Go farther back and only married people could get condoms,

And even farther back, condoms were illegal and doctors could be arrested for even telling women about them. How far back are we going to go before people outright revolt over denial of birh control?

Yes, step right up, choose how much fun you want.

We have the high schooler 3-pack for that weekend when her parents are "out of town".

We have the university 8-pack: one for every day of the week and an extra for Sunday morning.

Then we have the married couples 12-pack: January, February, March.....

6. It Was A Surprise By The Logical Disconnectedness Of It.

What I posted was only a part of the conversation. The discussion from the RW side was so disconnected and irrational and illogical. It was like a Dali painting that made NO sense. It ended up with a comment about entitlements being the downfall of the nation. And some comments were mysogynistic and really unprintable. I just dropped the discussion because there was no way to respond sensibly. It is like all the bullshit I hear from RW people. When I hear the chatter they put out it is meaningless word salad with nonsensical comparisons. The way they string out the language it is unintelligible.

No surprise at all. They just lay out a word salad because they can't come out and tell you that they are physically and emotionally crippled by the fact that a black man is in the White House. I know a few who have had strokes and ulcers since Nov. 2008 and another being treated for severe depression.

Here's some advice: pay no attention to the words coming out of their mouths. Look at the stress and pain in their faces when they are talking. It will all make sense to you then.
