Woodlands National Bank: Negotiate with Anita (petition, we need your help)

http://www.change.org/petitions/woodlands-national-bank-negotiate-with-anita-reyes-to-stop-her-foreclosure

"Greetings,

I am writing to support Anita Reyes' petition calling on Woodlands National Bank to negotiate with her to help her save her home of 17 years in Minneapolis. Homelessness among American Indians in Minneapolis is already too high and I don't want to see Anita join that statistic. I am especially shocked to hear that your bank rescinded your offer to help Anita stay in her home after she allegedly called just four minutes past your deadline recently.

As Anita says in her petition, she wants to support your bank and be part of your success. I join Anita and so many others who have signed her petition in asking you to do the right thing and work with Anita to ensure that she can stay in her home.

[Your name]"

Woodlands Bank refuses to negotiate

On Thursday, July 26th, I traveled the 90 miles to Woodlands National Bank’s Headquarters in Onamia, MN, alongside supporters from the American Indian Movement and Occupy Homes MN.

I traveled all that way so that I could give Woodlands Bank another chance. I wanted to show them that I would do all the work, that I was willing to pay. However, when I entered the bank with the required paperwork and asked to meet with Vice President Koonce, she flat out refused. A bank representative then went so far as to call the police and proceeded to kick us out of the building.

I went into Woodlands Bank hoping to negotiate, but instead they called the police.

Call President Ken Villebro (320-532-7003) and Vice President Cindy Koonce (320-532-7001) and ask why Woodlands National Bank would rather kick its own customers out than negotiate.
