Spent several days in Canada last week

Attending our Afghan exchange daughter’s college graduation (she defected; long story), attending an Iftar dinner in Toronto, touring Niagara Falls.

A more peaceful, pleasant, diverse, prosperous country I can’t imagine!

I think they know they’ve got it going on!

(Doug Ford’s election notwithstanding. DON’T COPY US!!!)

Now Canada has been revealed for its dishonesty and acts of betrayal. There's a special place in hell for Canada, the new evil empire!

with the Border Cities. Canadian workers cross the border each day to work in the US,and likewise,US workers cross to work at Canadian Facilities.

Recall my Cousin worked in Fort Francis and Lived in International Falls. As a Electrician working for the Railroad,he was assigned to work Fort Francis Engine Repair Facility based on Union Seniority . How many thousands of others are effected.

Running joke in our family was,if you worked at International Paper in the Falls and had Boys who could play Hockey, you lived in the Falls. If you had only Girls, you lived in Fort Francis.

Gosh, I'm surprised to come across FF mentioned! I like to find vintage souvenir memorabilia from there to gift him.

Once I made him a bookmark collaged with vintage matchbook covers from Fort Francis spots and old Canadian stamps

My favorite thing was a Royal Canadian Mountie toy statue with "Fort Francis" slapped on the base.

I get everything off eBay

We don’t go up often but I have friends in Blaine, WA, on the border, and people are just living their lives, crossing back and forth as always. Other friends live here and work there and vice versa. It’s just a way of life.

If it wasn’t for that asshole everything would be fine.

We did a little touring during our visit - Kensington Market, Eaton Center. Was rainy out and I’m not much of a shopper... 😉 Just biding our time till Iftar at 9:30!
