That's got trump protecting him now. They could care less about the corruption after he's done a pretty good job of trying to destroy the EPA for him. Pay for policy again from trump.

He admires "toughness" over moral and ethical behavior.

That's why he's slavishly praising Kim Jong Un, and why he's slavishly praised Vladimir Putin.

Pruitt has created his own little fiat kingdom inside the EPA that is antithetical to that organization's purpose, and Trump loves the hell out of that fact. And because he's not stepping down or apologizing for his behavior, he's "tough" in Trump's mind.

Trump is following the orders of the Kochs,Carl Icahn and other billionaire polluters who sent Pruitt in with a mission to destroy the EPA. Trump can't fire him until he gets the okay from these rogues. That's why he is still,inexplicably, there.
