Border Patrol told him his child was "somehwere in Texas" and they didn't know where but he had to go without the child.

https://www.houstonchronicle.com/news/houston-texas/houston/article/Immigrant-families-separated-at-border-struggle-12938759.php

They placed the toddler in a federal shelter, though where, Pastor didn’t know. Three months later, in October, the father was deported — alone. His child, he said agents told him, was “somewhere in Texas.”

“I cried. I begged,” he said. “No one could tell me anything.”

maybe you can help get it out there

Detention Center Caregivers background checks not being properly processed. Paperwork tracking kids not being properly done.

Texas has an online searchable database showing all the violations in these kiddie prisons.

There are half a dozen centers in just Cameronn County Texas, where Brownsville is located. 1000 employes of these were laid off with no notice last year.

The violations read like a page out of your worst imagination.

Details here and link to seaechable Texas database here.

49. Defense Contractors Cashing In On Immigrant Kids' Detention
Fri Jun 15, 2018, 12:39 PM
Jun 2018

Separating refugee and immigrant children from their parents isn’t just an emotionally wrenching policy. It’s an enterprise that is benefitting intelligence and defense contractors.

Those contractors—including one with a history of scandals—have advertised a flurry of jobs in recent weeks to support the infrastructure surrounding undocumented children whom the Trump administration has taken from their families.

One of them, from Virginia-based MVM Inc., seeks a compliance coordinator to help in San Antonio with the “rapid deployment of an Emergency Influx Shelter for unaccompanied children.” As billed, the coordinator would ensure the children’s shelter met “policies and procedures” set by the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Refugee Resettlement. MVM posted the job on its website this week.

MVM appears to believe its business is growing. A job posting on Indeed.com from 20 days ago advertises for youth care workers “in anticipation of a contract award.”

It robs a child of the right to say no.

You spend your life feeling like your looking at life from the outside, looking in. It interrupts love.

Most of these people don't have 2 nickels, and they certainly can't afford lawyers. What if the US is keeping the kids and deporting the parents, or worse. This is completely outrageous and it doesn't fit with an administration that claims (falsely) to have "family values."

I'm not surprised that Chris Hays has taking an emotional view of this, because he and his wife just became new parents about 4 months ago.
